Amazon DSP used to be the line item agencies mentioned near the end of a sales call. Now it’s the reason the call happens at all. DSP’s share of total Amazon ad spend climbed from 17.7% to 23.4% across 2025, and in Q1 2026 it did something it had never done in five years of tracked data it became cheaper per click than Sponsored Products.
Every Amazon advertising agency pitching serious clients in 2026 needs a real answer for Amazon programmatic advertising, and agencies without one are losing pitches to agencies that have it, even when neither one owns a trading desk. That gap is exactly why white label DSP exists. An agency can offer full Amazon DSP services under its own name without building a trading desk, hiring a programmatic team, or clearing Amazon’s steep managed service minimums. This piece breaks down what white label DSP actually is, how an Amazon DSP agency structures the mechanics, what it costs, and where agencies get burned when they resell white label advertising services without understanding what they’re reselling.
Quick Guide
What Is Amazon DSP?
Amazon DSP (Demand-Side Platform) is the engine behind Amazon programmatic advertising, the buying layer that sits above Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display. It lets advertisers buy display, video, and audio placements across Amazon-owned properties like Fire TV, Twitch, IMDb, and Prime Video, plus thousands of third-party sites, using Amazon’s first-party shopper data instead of keyword intent. The reason it matters now more than ever comes down to reach. Roughly 95% of Amazon shoppers aren’t actively searching for a given brand’s category at any moment, and Sponsored Products can only ever reach the other 5%. DSP is the only lever that touches the shopper before they start typing.
Across the platform, 36.5% of DSP-attributed purchases come from customers who have never bought the brand on Amazon before, which is a new-to-brand rate that search-based advertising structurally cannot match.Take a skincare brand that sells a Vitamin C serum line. Sponsored Products will capture the shopper who already searches “vitamin c serum” or a competitor’s ASIN. DSP is what puts that same brand in front of someone browsing a skincare influencer’s content on Twitch, or watching a beauty tutorial on a third-party site, days before that person ever opens the Amazon search bar. Beauty and Personal Care already runs a strong 14.56% conversion rate once that demand reaches the product page, so the channel isn’t fighting an uphill conversion problem. It’s fighting an awareness one, and that’s precisely the gap DSP is built to close.

Why This Matters
Sellers face increasing inefficiency in search-only strategies as Sponsored Products become more saturated. Transitioning to DSP allows brands to capture the 95% of shoppers not actively searching and leverage a 14.56% conversion rate in sectors like Beauty and Personal Care.
Key Takeaways
DSP targets 95% of the Amazon audience, whereas Sponsored Products only capture the 5% actively searching.
New-to-brand (NTB) acquisition via DSP accounts for approximately 36.5% of total sales generated.
Effective DSP optimization typically requires a monthly media spend between $10,000 and $20,000.
In the Beauty and Personal Care sector, DSP-driven traffic achieves a 14.56% conversion rate on product detail pages.
Recommended Actions
→Audit advertising spend to compare Sponsored Product CPCs against DSP CPCs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
→Reallocate budget from saturated search terms to DSP campaigns with a minimum monthly spend of $10,000 to ensure data integrity.
→Review agency reporting to ensure they are utilizing a centralized intelligence platform rather than manual spreadsheets for DSP management.
White label DSP isn’t just about giving agencies a branded dashboard. It’s about providing a centralized intelligence layer that helps agencies manage, analyze, and optimize multiple Amazon DSP accounts from one place. While Amazon’s native DSP dashboard provides campaign-level reporting for individual advertiser accounts, agencies managing several clients often need a broader operational view. A white-label DSP platform brings those accounts together into a single interface, making it easier to monitor campaign performance, compare client accounts, and deliver consistent reporting without constantly switching between dashboards. Beyond consolidating reporting, third-party DSP dashboards often surface deeper insights that help agencies make better optimization decisions. Depending on the platform, agencies can monitor metrics such as pacing, budget utilization, audience performance, attribution trends, incremental reach, and campaign-level efficiency alongside standard Amazon DSP reporting.
Instead of manually stitching together exports from multiple advertiser accounts, teams get a unified view that makes identifying opportunities and performance issues significantly faster. For agencies managing multiple brands, this intelligence layer becomes just as valuable as the reporting itself. Account managers can review client performance, prepare branded reports, prioritize optimization opportunities, and spend more time improving campaigns instead of gathering data across multiple Amazon DSP dashboards. The value of white label DSP isn’t that it replaces Amazon DSP. It’s that it helps agencies manage multiple Amazon DSP accounts more efficiently, make more informed optimization decisions, and present a more consistent client experience through a centralized intelligence platform.
What White Label DSP Actually Means
How a White Label DSP Dashboard Helps You Scale More Clients
Winning more clients isn’t just about offering Amazon DSP. It’s about delivering the operational experience clients expect from a premium agency. As your client portfolio grows, managing multiple Amazon DSP accounts through separate dashboards, spreadsheets, and manual reports becomes increasingly difficult to scale. A white label DSP dashboard gives agencies a centralized workspace for managing every client account. Instead of switching between multiple Amazon DSP dashboards, account managers can review campaign performance, monitor budget pacing, analyze audience insights, compare client accounts, and generate branded reports from a single interface. This reduces operational overhead and allows teams to focus more on optimization than administration
Without vs. With a White Label DSP Dashboard
As agencies grow, the difference between managing campaigns efficiently and managing them manually becomes significant. The comparison below highlights how a white label DSP dashboard simplifies operations, improves visibility, and creates a more scalable workflow for both agencies and their clients.
Without a White Label DashboardWith a White Label DashboardMultiple Amazon DSP logins for every clientOne centralized interface for all client accountsManual reporting across spreadsheetsAutomated branded reportingDifficult to compare account performanceCross-client visibility and benchmarkingBudget pacing tracked individuallyBudget pacing monitored across accountsTime spent collecting dataTime spent optimizing campaigns
For clients, the experience is equally valuable. They receive branded reports, access dashboards carrying the agency’s identity, and gain clear visibility into campaign performance without relying on disconnected spreadsheets or manually assembled presentations. The result is a more professional reporting experience that reinforces the agency’s expertise. Imagine an agency managing 20 Amazon DSP clients. Without a centralized dashboard, account managers may need to log into each advertiser account individually, export reports, and manually consolidate campaign performance before client meetings.
With a white label DSP dashboard, they can review account health, identify pacing issues, compare campaign performance, and generate client-ready reports from a single workspace, making it easier to onboard additional clients without proportionally increasing operational effort.Ultimately, the biggest advantage isn’t simply saving time. It’s creating a repeatable service delivery model that helps agencies scale more clients while maintaining a consistent reporting and optimization process.
Choosing the Right White Label Partnership Model
Not every white label DSP partnership operates the same way. The right model depends on how much control your agency wants over branding, billing, client relationships, and campaign management. Understanding the differences can help you choose a setup that aligns with your business model and long-term growth goals.
1. Full White Label Partnership
A full white label arrangement places the agency’s branding on everything the client sees, including the dashboard, reports, domain, and communications. The provider manages the technology and campaign execution behind the scenes, while the agency owns the client relationship, sets pricing, and bills the client directly.
2. Semi-Transparent Partnership
In this model, the provider remains largely invisible in day-to-day reporting but handles media billing directly with the client. The agency earns a commission while avoiding the need to finance client media spend. However, the provider’s name may appear on invoices or bank statements, which some agencies prefer to avoid.
3. Co-Branded Partnership
A co-branded partnership makes both the agency and provider visible to the client. Reports, dashboards, or meetings may include “powered by” branding or a shared account team. This model works well when agencies want to highlight the provider’s expertise while maintaining a collaborative client relationship.
Why Agencies Are Reselling Instead of Building In-House
Building an in-house Amazon DSP management capability sounds appealing until agencies account for the technology, expertise, reporting infrastructure, and operational effort required to support multiple client accounts. Instead, many agencies partner with a white label DSP provider that delivers the intelligence, reporting, and optimization tools needed to manage Amazon DSP campaigns more efficiently. Three key factors drive that decision.
Agencies Are Reselling Instead of Building In-House
Spend Minimums and Certification Barriers
Amazon’s managed DSP service generally requires advertisers to meet significant monthly spend thresholds before campaigns are managed directly. While self-serve DSP has become more accessible, agencies still need enough campaign volume to generate statistically meaningful insights and optimize performance effectively. In practice, Amazon DSP is typically best suited for clients investing at least $10,000–$20,000 per month in media spend. For agencies, the decision goes beyond meeting spend requirements. Building an in-house DSP capability means investing in specialized talent, reporting infrastructure, campaign analytics, and ongoing optimization processes across multiple client accounts. Those operational costs grow quickly as the client portfolio expands.
A white label DSP intelligence platform helps agencies avoid that overhead by centralizing campaign reporting, performance monitoring, pacing, and optimization insights across multiple Amazon DSP accounts. Instead of building these capabilities from scratch, agencies can focus on client strategy while using a single platform to support day-to-day decision-making. From a commercial perspective, the model is equally attractive. Agencies typically charge a management fee based on media spend while using a centralized operational workflow to manage multiple clients efficiently. As the client portfolio grows, the same team can support more accounts without increasing headcount at the same pace, improving operational efficiency and protecting margins.
How White Label DSP Works, Step by Step
The mechanics vary by provider, but most white label DSP partnerships move through the same five stages. Knowing what happens at each one helps an agency spot which parts of the process a prospective Amazon DSP partner is actually doing versus glossing over.
Any Amazon advertising agency vetting a potential Amazon DSP agency partner should expect to see all five stages laid out clearly before signing anything, since a provider that gets vague about any one of them is usually hiding how thin the actual management is.
Step 1: Partner/Reseller Agreement and Account Structure.
The agency and provider sign a partnership agreement that defines the branding model (full white label, semi-transparent, or co-branded), the fee structure, and who owns the client relationship contractually. This is also where account structure gets decided whether each client gets an isolated workspace with separate budgets and creative, or whether accounts share infrastructure under one umbrella seat.
Step 2: Branding Layer.
The provider’s platform gets skinned with the agency’s logo, color scheme, and often a custom domain, so a client logging into a dashboard sees their own agency’s identity rather than the underlying tech provider’s. This is the visible half of white labeling, and it’s the half most sales decks lead with, even though it’s the least consequential part of whether the arrangement actually performs.
Step 3: Performance Intelligence and AMC Insights
This is where agencies move from reporting to decision-making. Instead of managing media buying directly, a white label DSP intelligence platform provides a centralized view of campaign performance across multiple client accounts. Teams can monitor live KPIs, budget pacing, projected spend and revenue, delivery trends, audience performance, channel mix, ASIN-level insights, and campaign health without jumping between multiple Amazon DSP dashboards.
For deeper analysis, Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) capabilities help agencies understand how campaigns influence shopper behavior across the funnel. Insights such as Path to Purchase, Channel Synergy, and Reach & Timing, along with Query Studio for custom analysis, enable agencies to uncover optimization opportunities and make more informed decisions backed by first-party data.
Step 4: Reporting and Client-Facing Deliverables.
The agency needs a reporting cadence that looks like it came from an in-house team weekly performance summaries, dashboards branded consistently with everything else the client sees, and enough narrative context that the client understands what happened and why. A raw data export with the agency’s logo stapled on top isn’t a deliverable. It’s a tell.
Pricing and Margins: What Agencies Actually Keep
For agencies, the value of a white label DSP solution isn’t just adding another service. It’s increasing revenue without proportionally increasing operational costs. Instead of hiring specialized DSP talent, building reporting infrastructure, and managing multiple client accounts through separate workflows, agencies can leverage a centralized platform to serve more clients with the same team. As client portfolios grow, operational efficiency becomes just as important as management fees. A white label DSP platform streamlines reporting, campaign monitoring, and performance analysis, allowing account managers to spend less time on manual tasks and more time delivering strategic recommendations. This helps agencies scale their Amazon advertising services while protecting margins and avoiding significant increases in headcount. From a commercial perspective, agencies typically charge clients a management fee based on media spend while benefiting from a repeatable operating model that supports multiple accounts through a single platform. The result is a business that can grow revenue more efficiently as the client base expands.
Pricing and Margins
Markup vs. Management Fee Models
Most white label DSP arrangements price one of two ways. In a markup model, the provider charges the agency a wholesale rate on media and management, and the agency sets its own client-facing price on top, keeping the spread.
In a management fee model, the agency and provider agree on a revenue share or flat commission, and the client-facing price is set jointly or by the provider. Either model works, but agencies pricing Amazon DSP management for the first time tend to underestimate how much of that fee actually needs to cover ongoing account work rather than platform access alone.
Client-facing pricing across the industry tends to land in a familiar band, agencies typically charge 10% to 20% of ad spend for Amazon DSP management, occasionally supplemented by a flat platform or technology fee. At $50,000 a month in managed spend, a 15% fee nets $7,500 in monthly revenue for whoever’s closest to the client relationship, and the wholesale-to-retail spread is where a reselling agency’s actual margin lives.
Where Margin Gets Squeezed
Percentage-of-spend pricing has a structural flaw that shows up the moment CPMs move. Platform CPM rose 47.46% in 2025 to $7.82 per thousand impressions, the sharpest year-over-year increase of any metric tracked on any major digital channel. An agency reselling on a fixed percentage sees its own margin get squeezed by the same cost pressure hitting the client, unless pricing gets renegotiated to reflect it. Category also drives margin more than most agencies price for upfront. Consider a women’s wellness brand selling a collagen supplement. Health & Wellness runs some of the tightest economics on the platform CPC in the $1.20 to $1.80 range, DSP CPM around $11.13, and ROAS often sitting closer to 2.4x to 3.0x even with a respectable 12.34% conversion rate.
A flat 15% management fee applied uniformly across a client roster means the agency is doing the same amount of strategic work on that collagen brand’s account as it would on a Grocery client converting at 15.57% with a $0.58 CPC and a 4x-plus ROAS, for a fraction of the margin cushion. This is the math most white label advertising services skip when they quote one flat rate across an entire client book, and agencies that price DSP the same way across every category are quietly subsidizing their hardest accounts with their easiest ones. The other margin killer is self-competition inside the account itself. DSP retargeting and Sponsored Products bidding on the same converted shopper for weeks because nobody negated the overlap. That’s the spend the agency is billing management fees on, and none of it is doing incremental work for the client. It’s the kind of waste that erodes trust long before it erodes the invoice.
What to Look for in a White Label DSP Partner
The right white label DSP partner should do more than provide access to a dashboard. It should help your agency scale Amazon DSP services without increasing operational complexity. A strong partnership gives your team the intelligence, reporting, and optimization capabilities needed to manage more client accounts efficiently while maintaining a consistent client experience.
When evaluating providers, look for partners that offer
A centralized intelligence platform that consolidates campaign reporting, budget pacing, performance insights, and optimization opportunities across multiple client accounts.
Advanced Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) insights, including capabilities such as Path to Purchase, Channel Synergy, Reach & Timing, and flexible analysis through Query Studio.
Transparent reporting and billing, so agencies always understand platform costs, management fees, and client-facing deliverables.
Dedicated strategic support, with account teams that have the capacity to provide meaningful optimization recommendations instead of simply monitoring campaigns. Category-specific recommendations, using real performance benchmarks rather than applying identical targets across every client. Before signing a partnership, ask how the provider supports campaign optimization, reporting, and decision-making, how many accounts each strategist manages, and what insights are available beyond Amazon’s native DSP dashboard. A provider that can clearly explain its processes, reporting capabilities, and strategic approach is far more likely to become a long-term extension of your agency than one that simply provides platform access.
Common Mistakes Agencies Make Reselling DSP
The most common failure mode is treating white label DSP as a retargeting-only product, since retargeting is the cheapest and least differentiated corner of the channel and it’s the easiest thing for a thin Amazon DSP services operation to spin up fast. It’s a shortcut that undersells what Amazon programmatic advertising can actually do for a client. Flat, unadjusted budgets are the second recurring mistake.
ACoS swings roughly 4.5 points across the calendar, from about 28% in October to 32.5% in January, and agencies running the same monthly budget year-round are systematically buying at the expensive peak and skipping the cheap trough. A flat-budget plan misses that arbitrage window entirely, and it’s sitting right there in the seasonal data for any agency willing to look.
Judging performance on blended ROAS rather than true ASIN-level profit is another trap, particularly for a category like Electronics, where a strong 4.15x ROAS can mask a CPA north of $25, only because the average order value is $104. And self-competition, where a harvested keyword moves into a controlled Sponsored Products campaign but the source auto campaign never gets the negative, quietly inflates CPCs and burns budget that neither side notices until someone finally audits the account.

FAQs
Is white label DSP worth it for small marketing agencies?
Yes, white label DSP can be an excellent option for small and mid-sized marketing agencies that want to expand into Amazon programmatic advertising without investing in a dedicated trading desk. Instead of hiring DSP specialists or meeting platform requirements, agencies can partner with an experienced provider and offer DSP services under their own brand. This approach reduces operational costs, speeds up time to market, and allows agencies to focus on client acquisition while delivering premium advertising solutions.2. What is the difference between white label DSP and self-serve Amazon DSP?
The main difference lies in ownership and execution. With self-serve Amazon DSP, agencies or advertisers are responsible for campaign setup, audience creation, optimization, reporting, and ongoing management. White label DSP, however, allows agencies to outsource these operational responsibilities to a specialized provider while maintaining their own branding and client relationship. This makes white label DSP an attractive solution for agencies that want to offer Amazon DSP services without building internal programmatic expertise.3. How much does white label DSP cost?
White label DSP pricing depends on the provider, campaign complexity, and the services included. Most providers charge agencies a wholesale management fee or a percentage of media spend, while agencies add their own markup before billing clients. Some providers also charge platform or technology fees. Before signing a partnership, agencies should understand exactly what is included in the pricing, such as campaign management, audience strategy, reporting, creative support, and AMC measurement.4. Can agencies brand white label DSP services as their own?
Yes. One of the biggest advantages of white label DSP is that agencies can present the service as part of their own brand. Depending on the partnership model, dashboards, reports, invoices, and client communications can all carry the agency’s branding instead of the provider’s. This enables agencies to strengthen client relationships, expand their service offerings, and build recurring revenue while relying on an experienced DSP partner behind the scenes.5. How do I choose the best white label DSP provider?
Choosing the right white label DSP provider requires evaluating more than just pricing. Look for a partner with proven Amazon DSP experience, transparent billing, advanced audience targeting capabilities, AMC measurement support, detailed reporting, and dedicated account management. It’s also important to understand how campaigns are optimized, how performance is measured, and whether the provider can scale alongside your agency as your client portfolio and advertising budgets grow.
