Update: Removal of XML Settlement Report and Flat File Settlement Report date changed to November 11, 2026
On 11 Nov 2026 Amazon will cease generating the legacy XML Settlement Report (GET_V2_SETTLEMENT_REPORT_DATA_XML) and the original flat‑file report. All integrations must switch to GET_V2_SETTLEMENT_REPORT_DATA_FLAT_FILE_V2, which adds a “_v2” suffix, uses UTF‑8 and reduces columns by ~30%. Calls to the deprecated types will return a ReportTypeNotSupported error.
Back to All On November 11, 2026, the following settlement reports will be removed for sellers:
- XML Settlement Report (GET_V2_SETTLEMENT_REPORT_DATA_XML)
- Flat File Settlement Report (GET_V2_SETTLEMENT_REPORT_DATA_FLAT_FILE) The Flat File V2 Settlement Report (GET_V2_SETTLEMENT_REPORT_DATA_FLAT_FILE_V2) replaces these reports. The Flat File V2 Settlement Report is available now and offers the same information in fewer columns and streamlined formatting. An XML replacement report is not available.

Analysis & Recommendations
Why This Matters
Settlement data feeds power daily accounting, dashboards and tax reporting across every Amazon marketplace. After 11 Nov 2026 any request for the old XML or flat‑file report will return an error, halting data ingestion and potentially causing financial mismatches. The new V2 file retains all monetary fields but changes column names and file format, requiring code and schema updates.
Key Takeaways
- Deprecation deadline: 11 Nov 2026 – XML and original flat‑file reports stop being produced.
- New report type: GET_V2_SETTLEMENT_REPORT_DATA_FLAT_FILE_V2 with “_v2” suffix (e.g., settlement‑2025‑12‑31_v2.txt).
- Error change: deprecated requests now return “ReportTypeNotSupported” instead of empty files.
- Column reduction: V2 file cuts columns by ~30% and merges price/fee type fields into a single column.
