Rather than editing listings one at a time through the Seller Central interface, feeds enable sellers to upload inventory files containing hundreds or thousands of product records simultaneously — a critical workflow for high-volume sellers managing large catalogs.

How Feeds Work

The feeds system operates as a pipeline between a seller's product data and Amazon's catalog. Sellers download the appropriate flat file template for their product category, populate it with required and optional product attributes — such as titles, descriptions, pricing, quantities, images, and item condition — and then upload the completed file through the "Add Products via Upload" section in Seller Central. Amazon processes the feed and returns a processing report that identifies any errors or warnings that need to be corrected. Feeds can be used not only for creating new listings but also for updating prices, adjusting inventory quantities, deleting listings, and modifying product details across an entire catalog.
