• Changes typically go live within 15 minutes — Under normal conditions, offer updates such as price changes appear on Amazon quickly, though during peak system loads it can take longer.
• Maximum processing time varies by update type — Offer-level changes (like pricing) can take up to 24 hours during heavy system load, while product-level changes (like descriptions or images) may take up to 48 hours.

How to Update a Listing

To update an existing product offer, navigate to the Manage Inventory page within Seller Central. Locate the product you want to modify and click the Edit button to the right of that listing. This will open the Edit Product page, where you can access various tabs to make changes. On the Offer tab, you can modify key fields including your standard price, sale price with scheduled start and end dates, and condition notes. Once you have made your desired changes, click the Save and Finish button to submit the updates.

Available Editing Fields

The fields available for editing depend on several factors specific to your selling setup. Individual seller accounts may have fewer editable fields compared to Professional accounts. The product category also plays a role — some categories have additional required or optional fields that others do not. Your fulfillment method matters as well: sellers who handle their own shipping will see different options compared to those enrolled in FBA, which manages warehousing, packing, and delivery on the seller's behalf. Common editable fields across most listings include pricing, condition notes, quantity (for merchant-fulfilled offers), and handling time.
