CA Fulfillment by Amazon prep and labeling services will end July 1, 2026
Effective July 1 2026 Amazon will cease prep and labeling services for California‑based FBA shipments and remove the “AMAZON” enum from the prepOwner and labelOwner fields in the Fulfillment Inbound API (version 2024‑03‑20). Any request that still includes “AMAZON” will return a 400 Bad Request, and only “SELLER” or “THIRD_PARTY” are now valid values.
Back to All Starting July 1, 2026, Amazon will no longer offer prep and item labeling services for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) shipments in the CA marketplace. AMAZON will no longer be an accepted value for prepOwner and labelOwner parameters (and responses) across all Fulfillment Inbound API operations in the CA marketplace. This change applies to all inventory sent to CA FBA fulfillment centers, including inventory sent directly into FBA as well as inventory from Amazon SEND and Supply Chain Portal when that inventory goes through FBA.
