How Review Sharing Works

1. Identify eligible variations — Amazon scans a parent‑child hierarchy and checks whether each child differs only in cosmetic attributes.
   • Example: A set of three T‑shirts that are identical in fabric and cut, differing only in colour (red, blue, green) will continue to share reviews.
2. Block non‑cosmetic pairings — If any child introduces a functional change, the system isolates its reviews from the rest of the family.
   • Example: A 500 ml water bottle listed alongside a 1‑liter version will no longer pool their star ratings, because capacity is a functional specification.
