How Document Removal Works

1. Upload restriction enforcement — From the moment the policy was announced, the system rejects any attempt to add a new unsupported file. For example, a seller trying to attach a new 3‑D CAD file to an ASIN on December 15 receives an error message and cannot save the change.
2. Visibility window for existing files — Documents that were already attached before the restriction remain visible to shoppers while the system prepares for the purge. A seller with a PDF specification sheet uploaded in March 2023 can still see it on the product page during November 2024.
