Effective immediately, sellers must upload every required safety or certification document and obtain Amazon’s approval before a new listing can become active. The change affects toys, electronics, children’s items, cosmetics, dietary supplements and other regulated goods, and it forces sellers to adjust their launch timelines and documentation workflows.

1. Upload via Manage Your Compliance dashboard — When a seller creates a new listing in a regulated category, the system automatically displays a checklist of required files. For example, a seller adding a Bluetooth speaker must attach an FCC Declaration of Conformity, a UL safety test report and a product photo showing the FCC label.
2. Amazon validates before activation — After the upload, Amazon’s compliance team cross‑checks each document against the listing’s SKU, description and target marketplace. If a child‑safety product lacks a CPSIA age‑grading certificate, the listing remains in “draft” status until the correct file is provided.
